David E. Murphy

Mr. Murphy is responsible for underwriting, sales contract and compensation services, field contract compliance, sales metrics and analysis, and sales reporting.

Murphy has more than 30 years of insurance leadership experience. Previously, he served as Vice President of Premier Market Solutions, where he was responsible for acquisition and client-management services for Colonial Life’s largest clients. He also oversaw the Enrollment Solutions team responsible for developing benefit administration partnership strategies. Murphy joined Colonial Life in 2015 from Unum, where he led teams in integrated underwriting and benefits.

Murphy holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of the Tennessee at Chattanooga and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He is on the Board of Trustees for Epworth Children’s Home and the South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities.
